Arletta introduced a three-dimensional framework for understanding patient empowerment: intrapersonal, behavioral, and interactional, emphasizing the role of cultural, religious, and ethnic factors. Nur and Eva added insights on the complexities of patient empowerment across different cultures, regions, and individual willingness to participate actively in healthcare decisions.
