A Note on the Future of Our Knowledge Centre

When we created the Knowledge Centre on our website, it was intended as a place to share thinking and only mildly about marketing our expertise. It was not intended as a vehicle for selling our services.
Over time, however, the volume and depth of what we produce has grown significantly. Our work is rooted in more than three decades of sustained reading, old-school hard copy note-taking and daily writing. The photo shows 30-odd notebooks from the past 7 years that we still haven’t digitised yet. The entire content of our blog output came from only 2 notebooks. As a learning organisation, we deliberately invest several hours each day in developing ideas across health communication, public health, health promotion and inequalities, cognition, visual communication and related fields.
The current Knowledge Centre was not built to hold that scale of material. We thought it was but what was developed was something that was very limited in its cataloguing structure, presentation options and archiving capacity. While it would be possible to have the original developers rebuild it, why should we bother when we can simply publish on platforms better suited to sustained, structured output?
In addition, I now co-lead several programmes within the Art of Diversity course suite, including courses on linguistic validation and qualitative patient voice research. Our written and video output will, therefore, serve both as reflections from GRC Health or my personal views and interests (a four-article arc on Moses, for example…), as well as free, supplementary learning resources for our students and anybody else who cares to read them.
From this point forward, you will find our work at:

The Knowledge Centre remains part of our history. Future articles, however, will be published on the platforms above, where they can be properly organised and encourage engagement and debate.
Thank you to everyone who has read and shared our work.
